Prometric Thomson Learning Testing Centre
Prometric Thomson Learning Testing Center which is the first and the largest test centre in the Central Asian countries was established and authorized based on ALSI Training Center.
On the global level the process of specialists’ certification is a well balanced system. Manufacturer of software product itself establishes criteria for estimation of knowledge, capabilities and experience of an applicant for the certificated expert status.
The leading developer of such tests in the world is Prometric Thomson Learning Company. This firm is engaged with development of tests for many types of activity including computer technologies.
The tests developed are represented in the regional Testing Center (equipped in a special way according to Prometric Thomson Learning requirements) where they are offered to an applicant as examination for the certificated expert status. Testing process ensures objective estimation of an applicant’s knowledge as it is carried out real-time using a computer.
On passing the test, the information on testing results is transferred into both Prometric Thomson Learning database and database of the manufacturer in regards of which products an applicant was certified.
In case of success an applicant immediately after the test receives the report on examination passed, and after a while (a week or more) - the official certificate issued by the manufacturer of the product. Appropriated qualification is of the world value irrespective of the Testing Center where the exams were passed.
Testing and certification are held on the basic software products of all large software manufacturers such, as Microsoft, Novell, Hewlett-Packard, Lotus, IBM, Sun Microsystems, DEC, AT&T, SyBase, CISCO, Bay Networks, Banyan, Oracle, Borland and others.
Each manufacturer has its own programs for various profiles specialists certification. Thus the quantity of examinations required too pass for reception of the certificated specialist status varies from one to ten.
Virtual University Enterprises (VUE) Testing Centre
Since January 1, 2008 Training Center of ALSI Company is one of the authorized Testing Centers of Virtual University Enterprises Company.
Pearson VUE is a part of Pearson Education Corporation, the world famous test provider offering computer certified testing on products of leading world software manufacturers such as Cisco Systems, CompTIA and many others.
Virtual University Enterprises Company was established in 1997. Presently this global electronic testing service has more than 3400 authorized testing centers in more than 120 countries.
Testing centre enables IT specialists to pass computer testing and to confirm their level of knowledge in the field of information technologies. In case of successful passing a vendor company sends to the applicant its certificate confirming the status awarded to him.
New versions of tests become available simultaneously and they are absolutely identical worldwide and in all Testing Centers. Certificates issued based on results of the tests passed certify the level of the specialists’ knowledge in the given area and are highly appreciated all over the world.
Testing in Pearson VUE Center is conducted by managers in specially equipped computer class room from Monday till Friday.
