ALSI and Hewlett-Packard joint workshop entitled “HP terminal solutions НР for a corporate segment”. Total amount.


13 March 2009. ALSI and Hewlett - Packard held an annual joint workshop for bank and telecommunication segments.

The event was carried out under the slogan: “HP terminal solutions for corporate segment” and was devoted to НР product lines presentation, review of server solutions and HH solution based key business-portfolios of ALSI.

Participants of the conference – representatives of more than 22 companies operating on bank and telecommunication market of Almaty – discussed issues related to new large-scale project of 2009 and solutions for the operation thereof together with the speakers of the seminar.

The workshop was opened by the Commercial Director of ALSI Company Kairat Tokishev.
In his speech Mr. Tokishev greeted the participants of the annual ALSI- НР joint off-site workshop and noted the following: “I always stress that every next meeting is a possibility to meet old friends and to get acquainted with new ones. It is very pleasant, that number of those not indifferent to their professional development is growing”.
According to Kairat Tokishev, the problem facing ALSI Company is not a simple sale and distribution of high-quality equipment, software and technologies, but ensuring of high-quality end-to-end customer service.
 

   

   


Leading experts of ALSI and Hewlett - Packard Companies took part in the workshop program:

 

Alan Namazbayev (НР Kazakhstan) made a presentation entitled “Thin Client”. The speaker told about the advanced methods of how to provide error-free computer system which is also much cheaper than similar solutions based on traditional personal computers.

 

Sergey Fisiyenko (ALSI) made a presentation entitled “HP Server Solutions”:       
 

·      Consideration of НР server solutions

·      DL RACK server line

·     ML Tower server line

·      Presentation of НР-BL server line (Blade servers) – positioning from the operation ease, profitability, and readiness for change point of view.
 

Dmitriy Kalinin (ALSI) made a report about complex IT solutions of ALSI Company, highlighted ALSI capabilities in the field of system integration and competences. “Our mission is to smoothly integrate innovative solutions into a life of a wide range of consumers: from the largest state and commercial organizations to individuals. Our solutions are technology intensive but reliable and easy to operate” – this statement was made by the speaker closer to the end of his presentation.
 

Yerzhan Baimukhamedov (ALSI) in his speech made a presentation entitled “Practical solutions of ALSI”. As exemplified by ALSI Company the speaker demonstrated practical experience of the company server park planned upgrade. The speaker focused on the reasons of upgrade and the process of HP Blade system introduction process. It was noted that primary objectives of ALSI Company are to increase technological and technical level, environmental safety of processes, and to upgrade the equipment.
 

Miroslav Mischenko (НР CIS) devoted his presentation to active network equipment НР-Procurve. The speaker presented НР solutions in the field of network infrastructure optimization to increase business efficiency.

 

Bakhytzhan Suleimenov (НР Kazakhstan) made a presentation entitled “Printing and imagining devices based HP solutions for corporate customers”.
Based on the results of discussion, Alan Namazbayev (НP Kazakhstan) made the following statement: “The terminal solutions workshop held showed a great interest of corporate customers in these systems as a thin client solution is an absolutely protected infrastructure as to the computer safety, allows to significantly reduce costs of acquisition and possession of such infrastructure, reduces time and financial expenses for support and administration that is important factor amid the current global crisis.
 

Demo-stands deployed by ALSI specialists in a virtualization mode are recognized an important feature:

1.   Demo-stand: НР C 300 based solutions with a lifted virtual area on the basis of Citrix Xenserver in the environment whereof 12 virtual machines for connection to thin clients were lifted.

2.    Demo-stand: 2 Windows 2008 based servers for applications.

The main objective to arrange demo-stands was the necessity to show advantages, economic benefits, ease of operation and ergonomics of Thin client +Blade system junction, unlike inconvenience of classical schemes use. Thus, various software allowable capabilities for the account of virtualization were also presented.

Business part completed, all participants were invited to a buffet dinner where a quiz-lottery with draw of value prizes from ALSI and НР Companies was carried out accompanied by the virtuosic genre music quartet. The following equipment was drawn in the order of priority: HP 2133 Mini note, M1120 MFP, HP iPAQ 114. Moreover, all participants of the event were awarded with the recognition prizes – bracket clocks from HP Company.

Results of conference showed once again that it is very important to organize a professional platform to raise actual problems, demonstrate solutions in the field of information technologies, discuss and exchange opinions among executives and specialists daily facing the necessity to solve problems in this area.
